Jackson Square was once called Plaza d Arms in 1763, Center of Early New Orleans
Jackson Square was the center of colonial New Orleans when it was under French and Spanish Rule. Today it is still the center of the French Quarter and a huge tourist attraction. Surrounded by unique shops and apartments. The St. Louis Cathedral, Cabildo, and Presbytere surround the square and are full of history as well. The largest real estate deal took place here in the Louisiana Purchase in the United States….
